The Piazza building in Fremantle is one of the many historic buildings scattered across the town. Currently it’s undergoing a bit of a rejuvenation with a huge focus on the arts (especially local arts). Earlier this year I was contacted by the team at Piazza, they had seen some of the flags elsewhere in Perth. After a few emails back and forth and a visit to the buildings, we came up with a plan. The first phase of that plan was to occupy a vacant space at one of the many entrances to the buildings.

Set up took about an hour with the help of my family. Initially I planned to mock up a poster for the glass panes but in the end I opted for some vinyl - I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

There’s a few other things planned with Piazza Fremantle so keep an eye out. For now, the flags are on display day and night so be sure to check them out if you’re passing.

Some snaps my wife took.
